President

P. Marcia Castrence

P. Marcia Castrence (President 2024-2026) is a 2000 graduate of Potomac Massage Training Institute and has a BA in Communications with a Dance Minor.  It was her experience as a dancer in Modern, Jazz and Hip Hop that brought her to massage and how to help the body more ease.  She is trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Advanced Connective Tissue, Sports Massage, Rock Blades, Pre/Post Natal Massage, Reiki and Reflexology. Marcia enjoys integrating all these massage techniques to best suit the individual needs of her clients.  Marcia has also taught deep tissue in the Professional Training Program, Clinic and Couples Massage at Potomac Massage Training Institute and Intro to Therapeutic Massage at George Washington University. She has a small private practice in Dupont Circle and does seated massage through the DC area.  She has served on the board since 2016.

Secretary

Andre Lee (2024-2026)

Andre has been working to improve individual and community health for more than 20 years by teaching and practicing within the professions of exercise and fitness, mental and physical rehabilitation, and massage/manual therapy. He proudly serves on professional and educational development boards with a deep commitment to improve the lives of students, professionals and the communities they will study and work in. He is a Trinidadian from a family of professionals and he strongly believes that, “Teaching doesn’t happen unless learning happens” and “Our success as health care professionals is first, second, and third: improving patient/client health”.

Board Member

Kristyn Stolze (2025-2027)

Kristyn has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2006. She is certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and practices oncology massage, both in private practice and in a hospital setting. She is also becoming a Certified Hakomi Practitioner through the Hakomi Institute. This elegant, mindfulness-based work supports psychosomatic integration through assisted self-study.

She holds a BA in Biology from Columbia University and a BA in English from Portland State University. She aspires to support system-level change and anchors her practice in the spaces where art and science become indistinguishable. In addition to her work with the human system, Kristyn’s supports organizational system design through her consulting firm, Hudson Willamette.

She is passionate about career development and continuing education for massage therapists and is excited to have joined the DC chapter of the AMTA as a Board Member (2025-2027).

Jonathan Osmundsen (2024-2026)

Jonathan is a graduate it the Potomac Massage Training Institute. He is a Licensed Massage Therapist in DC, New Hampshire and Virginia. His modalities include deep tissue, Dr. Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial, Swedish, Trager and Zero Balancing, in private practice and clinic environments. 

Before massage, Jonathan spent 20 years in marketing and public relations for startup and fortune 100 companies with an emphasis on public affairs and media relations. 


Delegate

Robin Younginer, LMT (2024-2026)

Robin is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Therapy Institute (PMTI)  who specializes in therapeutic massage with intuitive Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques, licensed in the District of Columbia since 2005. Certified in Hot Stone Massage and Oncology Massage.  Co-Instructor of Chair Massage at PMTI 2007-2019. Robin is a native Washingtonian.

Committees

Communications Committee

Communicates information about upcoming events, continuing education, legislative issues, networking opportunities to the membership and local LMT’s.

Continuing Education Committee             

Coordinates continuing education for members in the DC area, focusing on DC LMT renewal requirements.

Membership Committee  

Welcomes new members to the District, planning networking and social events, and helping ensure the chapter fulfills its service requirements for the membership.
